Online accounting office for RES
By Agnieszka Saladra, Certified Accountant
Do you install photovoltaic panels, heat pumps or energy storage and are looking for an office that knows the realities of this industry? Accounting for a photovoltaic company is not the same as settling an ordinary store - here you have different VAT rates on installation (in residential buildings covered by the social housing programme this can be 8%, otherwise 23%), a stock of panels, inverters and components, and the sale of a service together with goods. At Luno-Group this is handled by an experienced accountant who knows these issues from practice.
This is an accounting office for the RES sector that works entirely online - you send documents by photo or scan through the Client panel, and we take care of the rest. You don't have to travel or arrange visits between one installation and the next. You get a regular accountant who keeps track of deadlines, helps record grants such as Moj Prad or Czyste Powietrze (government support schemes for renewable energy) and explains the complexities in plain language. Our online accounting is available in Polish or English.
Firms installing PV panels, heat pumps and energy storage, who invoice the service together with goods and apply different VAT rates depending on the installation site.
Firms trading in panels, inverters and components, who keep a stock of goods, settle domestic and foreign purchases and equipment warranties.
Service technicians, installation crews and subcontractors carrying out work in stages, using equipment and vehicle leasing, sometimes covered by mandatory split payment.
We help apply VAT rates correctly on installation - 8% for construction covered by the social housing programme, including a functionally linked micro-installation of up to 50 kW mounted outside the building itself, and 23% beyond that scope.
We keep records of the stock of panels, inverters, energy storage and components as goods, so that purchases and sales of equipment are clearly settled.
We organise the settlement of the sale of goods together with the installation service, which affects the VAT rate and how the whole transaction is recorded on the invoice.
We record grants and subsidies for RES installations in the books, including funds from NFOŚiGW programmes, and help settle the related revenue and costs correctly. Calls and programme names change every few months, so we check each case against the programme's current terms.
We post the leasing of equipment and vehicles, settlements with subcontractors, and keep track of the mandatory split payment mechanism where part of the works is subject to it.
We account for equipment warranties and service and settle the purchase of components from abroad together with VAT, typical for panels and inverters brought in from outside Poland.
You get a regular, experienced accountant who knows the specifics of the RES sector - different VAT rates, a stock of components, grants and the sale of a service with installation are nothing new to us. We work fully online, so you can run your company's accounts without travel or paper bureaucracy, between one installation and the next. We serve clients in Polish or English (PL / EN), keep track of deadlines, warn you of risks and explain decisions in plain language. This is an accounting office that genuinely takes the accounting off your hands, instead of adding more obligations.
Before you entrust us with your company's accounting.
It depends on the type and location of the installation. The 8% rate covers construction under the social housing programme, and the VAT Act also treats as part of it a micro-installation of up to 50 kW functionally linked to such a building - including one mounted outside the building itself, for example on the ground or on an outbuilding (Article 41(12)(1) and (12a) of the VAT Act). Beyond that scope the 23% rate applies, and for detached houses above 300 m² and residential units above 150 m² the 8% rate covers only the part of the taxable base corresponding to the floor area that falls within the limit (Article 41(12b) and (12c)). We analyse the specific investment and help apply the correct rate and describe the invoice properly.
We keep stock records of RES equipment as goods - from the purchase of panels, inverters and energy storage to their sale or use during installation. As a result, purchases and sales are clearly settled and the cost of goods is correctly linked to the revenue from a given installation.
How they are recorded depends on who the beneficiary is and what the subsidy covers. Where the grant flows through the installation company, we record it in line with the programme documentation and the nature of the revenue. The programmes themselves change often - as at September 2026 the call under Mój Prąd 6.0 has closed and no further edition has been launched in the previous formula, while the call under the Dofinansowanie przydomowych magazynów energii programme (funding for home energy storage) financed from the National Recovery Plan ran from 30 March to 19 June 2026 and is closed, with the Modernisation Fund call announced for the fourth quarter of 2026. We will analyse your specific case against the programme's current terms and post the funding correctly.
The sale of panels together with installation is often a single supply, which affects the VAT rate and how the transaction is recorded. We organise such settlements, ensuring the invoice is consistent with the actual scope of work, and we account for warranties and service linked to the equipment sold.
Yes. We post the leasing of installation equipment and vehicles, carry out settlements with subcontractors and keep track of the mandatory split payment mechanism where part of the works is subject to it. We will check whether your specific services require an MPP annotation, to avoid errors in the accounts.
